Whitehead Nursing Home is located in the peaceful seaside town of Whitehead within easy travelling distance of Larne, Carrickfergus and Belfast.

Previously the distinguished Dolphin Hotel, this charming coastal residence boasts splendid sea views from all three lounges and many of the residents' bedrooms. It is within easy access to nearby shops, parks, and other public amenities.

Whitehead Nursing Home has the added advantage of being dual- registered. That means we care for those requiring nursing or residential care. The types of care services we specialise in include:

Here at Whitehead we can care for up to 41 residents and offer a variety of bedrooms, both single and double, all tastefully and individually decorated and furnished. Many offer superb sea views, ensuite facilities and telephone points. We encourage new residents to make the room their own by adding their own photos and mementos.

In order to cater for those residents who are less mobile, but still enjoy the fresh air and activities associated with outdoors, the Home also offers the added benefit of an outdoor patio and garden facilities. These are accessible from inside the Home. The raised flowerbeds allow many of the residents to enjoy regular gardening activities with the support of carers and in a secluded and secure environment.

Short term, long term care and respite stays are all offered, depending on your individual needs.
